Art Department Assistant works within the art department assisting in a broad range of tasks, pretty much anything that is needed by others within the art department. This may range from the mundane like photocopying, through to making models for the designers or doing follow up research. Assistants don’t often remain in such a role for long, after a few jobs they are usaully able to get into a particluar art department area of interest through the contacts they make. Other workers will be impressed by the art deptartment assistant who comes forward to offer help when they have a fre moment rathe than hanging back waiting to be asked for something, an assistant who does not grumble at any task and who throws themself into the day with enthusiasm and energy.
